The foundation held 10 health care and post university education campaigns in 10 regions of the kingdom. (see table1).
The Foundation assisted needy patients in acquiring medicine and medico-surgical materials necessary for their care.
They donated surgical instruments to the department of neurosurgery in the provincial hospitals and equipped the offices of the "Hôpital des Spécialities" of Rabat.

b- Post university education for local physicians with visits to in-patients,
consultations, discussion of clinical cases, round tables and training
seminars;
on oto-neuro-ophthalmological emergency cases.

The report of each of these campaigns is available at the office of
the foundation.
2- Continuous medical training and scientific research:
a- organisation of 8 national and international scientific congresses.
b- Complete or partial sponsoring of 19 missions for 1 to 12
month training abroad, intended for the medical and paramedical staff
c- Partial or complete sponsoring of 180 missions to participate in
national or international congresses for Moroccan neurosurgeons.
d- Payment of post university education stays of 31 foreign professors.
e- Building of space for a medical library and a research laboratory
at the head office of the foundation
3- Acquisition of medico-surgical equipment.
Since its creation, the foundation has helped the " Hôpital de
Spécialités" build and equip of a magnetic resonance
imaging unit; thanks to a donation of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the
foundation was able to build the premises of the unit and acquire the MRI
apparatus. The unit has been operational since January 3, 1994 at the "Hôpital
des Spécialités" of Rabat. This unit is equipped with an efficient
apparatus: a Philips ACS II of 1,5 tesla. It's a new generation apparatus
presenting the latest techniques and providing especially quick views and Angio
MRI. This new technique offers many advantages:
- It allows ambulatory examinations without any special preparation.
- It has no harmful irradiative effect.
- It allows cross sections at all levels and all dimensions.
- It is a non invasive technique allowing xploration of cerebro-vascular,
cervical, thoracic, abdominal and limb structures. This technique gives
information for a morphological and functional diagnosis.
It allows an accurate pre-therapeutical check-up.
Its non-irradiative quality allows repeated examinations useful for
viewing the development of the lesions.
It performs about 1500 examinations per year, 230 of which are free
of charge for needy patients who represent 15 to 20% of our examinations.
The running of this unit cost annually 3M dirhams.
Upon agreement with the university hospital centres of Rabat-Salé,
the foundation has the responsibility to run the MRI unit.
a- Complete audio-visual equipment for the neurosurgery operating rooms of the "Hôpital des Spécialités". This equipment consists of 2 video-recorders, a TV set, a camera recorder and a slide projector.
b- Office materials: Complete equipment of a record library with a shelving system, space for a medical library, furniture and office supply as well as 6 computers with their accessories .
c- Neurosurgical material
1- High performance operating microscope which is an instrument of primary importance in nervous surgery as 80% of operations are microsurgical.
2- Ultrasound Aspirator (Cavitron): it's a surgical instrument which performs fragmentation, irrigation and aspiration of the nervous system tumours. The Cavitron is an accurate instrument indicated in cases of tumours in far-to-reach anatomical sites, which reduces dramatically the duration of surgery.
3- ND Yag Laser: it is a highly accurate instrument which helps coagulate cerebral tumours harboured in difficult to reach sites or in sensitive places. Its main characteristic is that it doesn't damage the surrounding healthy cerebral tissue.
4- Surgical stereotaxic frame adapted to MRI and TDM: this instrument
spots and produces in 3 dimensions the deep-rooted cerebral tumours as
well as the definite cerebral structures in order to perform biopsies and
local treatment.
5- Sterilising machine for the operating room.
6- Material percutaneous dissectomy and vertebral biopsy.
7- Kit of instruments for tallamotomy and surgery of movement disorders.
