Orphans Program in Marrakech
Volunteers
help to improve the quality of life for
children in a variety of homes, centers for
disadvantaged children and disabled centers in
Marrakesh. The staff simply do not have
time to provide the individual care and attention that
the children require. There is a great deal
volunteers do to contribute to the general care
and support of the children.
Children range in age from 6yrs to teenagers.
The daily work depends a lot on the ages of the
children you are working with.
Volunteering may involve assisting with the
day-to-day practical care of the children;
ensuring they get up on time and preparing their meals,
as well as playing games, organizing activities and
trips, and offering the children the vital one-to-one
attention which they crave. The older children often
require help with homework, support with developing
social and life skills and you may also find yourself
teaching some basic English lessons. Volunteer
help not only stimulates the children but also
alleviates the stress felt by the overstretched staff.

be challenging, but the effort will also prove
incredibly rewarding. Volunteers help

centres, where staff simply don't have time to provide

require. You can gain work experience on a volunteer Care
project in Morocco whatever your age,
abilities or level of experience; whether you are on a
gap year - or even a gap month - from further education,
or are coming to us during a career break. All we ask is
that you have enthusiasm for and a commitment to the
work, the staff team and, of course, the
children!All volunteers on a
Care Project in Morocco would be
helpful to speak some basic French in order to
communicate directly with the children
and the local staff.

Help
teach at local schools and spend time with orphans children when
you volunteer with our Teaching and Orphans Program in Morocco.
On this project, you will split your time between several local
schools, Al orphanage, and other community-development program
sites. At the schools, you will assist teachers, coach sports, and
simply be a positive presence in the children’s lives. At the
orphanage, which houses children who lost their parents , you will
help children with their homework, play games, and provide
assistance with theater productions and other extramural activities.
Your energy and presence will help the students develop
intellectually and creatively, and will make a lasting impression on
their lives.
Thus, many students are in school for only two or
three hours per day. To help maximize the quality of precious school
time, volunteers work as teaching assistants in the classrooms or as
sport coaches to keep kids off the streets. The schools have poor
